Badges on the Uniform

You may view the position of the Cub Badges on the ScoutBase website. Badges should be sewn on, not glued, and look best when the thread used is the same colour as the border of the badge. The first badges you will be awarded once invested are:
- World wide Membership badge
- Greater London North County Badge
- Southgate District Badge
- 6th Southgate (Christ Church) Name Tape
- Moving on award (if you have come up from beavers)

Activity Badges
There are 35 activity badges for Cubs to gain. A few of these will be done as a Pack but it is intended that the majority be achieved by the Cubs in their own time.
If you are interested in doing a badge then please see a leader as soon as possible or email cub-badges@6thsouthgate.org.uk. There are three reasons for this. Firstly, many of them involve improving over time and we therefore need to see 'before' and 'after'. Secondly, we need to find a suitable instructor / assessor. Thirdly, we need to know which badges to order!
With such a wide range of badges, we obviously do not have the skills necessary in the leader team to be able to guide and assess everything available. In some cases it will be possible to get an instructor at your local club or school to assess the badge for you. In other cases, the badges simply require you to bring in a relevant certificate. If neither of these are appropriate then we can organise a suitable external assessor. If the badge is being assessed by someone outside the pack then we will produce a form for you to get signed and bring back. A leader will look at the form and discuss with you what you have done. Again, please see a leader before you start working for any badge.
You may view the Requirements of the Cub Activity Badges on the ScoutBase website.
