New Chief Scout

We want as many people in the Movement to know directly from us as soon as possible who is taking on this important role. It's obviously important we tell our youth Members as well as our adult leaders. If you work directly with young people please encourage them via email or your local Scout website to register their details at http://www.scouts.org.uk/scout1000

Everyday Adventure - You People Helping Young People

Everyday Adventure is a series produced by The Scout Association being shown on the Community Channel. Episode 4 is about Young Leaders, and part of it was filmed at 6th Headquarters using some Members of 6th.

Dara and Neal from Cubs and Elliot from Scouts were excellent during their involvement in the filming of the 'spoof' Apple iPhone advert for Young Leaders.

Cubs do something Funny for Money!

On Friday 13th March, Cubs worked together to decorate cakes and raise £49.73.

Cubs were divided into 3 teams, each with a team leader. They worked to decorate and advertise fairy cakes they had decorated with icing they had made, also gingerbread men with red noses!

They all worked really well together and Team Leaders Alice, Sophia and Thomas were a credit to the Cub Scouts working really well to organise their teams.

Thank you parents for coming to support us!

Compost Bin Construction

in

The scout section as part of its mission to become more ecologically friendly has constructed a compost bin out of old materials that have been scavanged from the grounds. The idea is that we make compost from the vast number of leaves that fall around the hut and that eventually the scouts will bag it up and sell it to parents or leaders to raise funds for the group. If you are interested in getting involved in some of the eco projects that the scouts are doing or you have any ideas please contact us.
